Mihaya Orange – Kagoshima Prefecture

The average weight of the “Mihaya” fruit is about 190g, and the fruit shape is oblate and globular. Its main feature is the glossy red-orange skin, which makes it immediately different from other citrus fruits.

The skin is slightly thicker than that of an Unshu mandarin, but it can be peeled by hand, and the membrane is relatively soft, making it easy to eat. The flesh is deep orange, has a high percentage of seedless fruits, is juicy and has a good taste.
